Hey, It's Okay Halloween Edition! *Edit!

I'm linking with Amber again for "Hey, It's Okay Tuesday"!!  She got the idea from Glamour Magazine. Apparently, they have a section called: "Hey, It's Okay" and they list a lot of things that it's okay to be "okay" about.  Since yesterday was Halloween, and I have a lot of pictures I want to share, I'm going to make this the Halloween edition.

It's Okay:

to have NOT bought chocolate this year to give to trick or treaters.  We normally have left over candy and we didn't need the temptation.

to have let and encouraged my teenager daughter and her friends to go Trick or Treating.  She's never gone door to door, and it's her Senior year.  How could I say no??

to have held this baby pretty much all night.

to NOT like to dress up for halloween.  I had a black/grey pullover and an orange rosette necklace on.  That's enough for me.

to admire my neighbor for refusing to give candy to kids who didn't dress up.  We didn't deny anyone, but it's cool that she has standards.

to be REALLY thankful that no little kid came up dressed as Michael Myers.  I hate it when a parent lets their kids dress up like serial killers.

to totally do a photo dump now.  Enjoy!

Baby passed OUT!  :o)

I don't know why Jon didn't put his entire costume on!
But he was an awesome Dark Sith Jedi anyways.

I.love.babies.  I will babysit for free, seriously.

A little ladies man!  :o)

Now go link up!  I want to know what's okay with you!  :o)

I've been inspired by Chrissie from in His Grace to try something new for the month of November.  And SHE was inspired by my blog crush Becky over at Farm Girl Paints

Every blog post Becky makes a list at the bottom for things that she is thankful for.

I'm going to do the same for the whole month of November.  And who knows, may be it will become a staple for each post.  What are YOU thankful for??

1. great family and friends to share memories with

2. my daughter and her love for wanting to have fun

3. a job

4. central heat!!

5. an awesomely talented church body.  my church totally rocks

I loved the pictures. That last picture turned out so cute! And I actually like how your neighbor has standards.

Good for you regarding avoiding temptation. It's good to know yourself like that.
I, on the other hand, did buy chocolate. But I did NOT buy Reese's peanutbutter cups. Because of that problem with left-overs. *wink*
And that's a good thing. Didn't have a single trick-or-treater. We're on the edge of the neighborhood, so kids don't typically come. And last night I didn't turn the outside light on. *duh!* I think that might have affected the situation.

I love the pictures!

I don't mind older kids trick or treating so long as they are polite and don't knock other kids over. I think I did it until I was 15 or something.

Love the pics! What a cute group you have! I totally didn't buy candy either. I just end up eating it all.
I agree on the scary serial killer costumes. They freak me out.

That's odd not letting kids have candy for not dressing up; sucks for the kid if it's because their parents wouldn't let them lol. But all the power to her for having standards and sticking to them :c)

Yea, that's pretty odd when parents let their kids dress up as serial killers a la Micheal Myers et al.

Nerds and Skittles are two of my absolute favorites! (pure sugar!) I would be so tempted by your leftover Halloween candy!

My polka dot pumpkin is called "The Morning After" or "One Too Many." Something like that. (the bloodshot eye look!) I love it! :)

I didn't get chocolate either and guess what? I forgot to take it to the Fall Fest at church so it's still sitting here. lol Yes it's a good thing it's NOT chocolate.
