Prayer is needed

I try to steer away from politics in this blog, but I felt the need to mention this.

I know the big news of today is the death of OBL.  KLove quoted these verses on their FB status and these were the verses I needed to hear: "Do not rejoice when your enemy falls..." Proverbs 24:17 ~ "I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live." Ezekiel 33:11

When I heard about it on the news.  I didn't feel joy or relief.  I felt sad because I know that this doesn't bring any of those people killed on 9/11 back.  I'm not a liberal, I'm about as conservative as conservative gets.  But I also know that just because OBL is gone, the war on terror is not over.  It's not over, and we need to pray now, more than ever, for peace.  But we know the end of the story.  There really won't be peace until Jesus comes back.  It's closer than ever before.

I am glad that OBL has been accounted for but I am praying more than ever for our troops. They are still working!

someone emailed me that they saw my pics on a store's facebook page in TN. it was of my cuffs. they were using them to promote their merchandise. UGH! i wrote them and kindly ask they remove them or give me credit and they did. that it was from my etsy store that made it seem so violating. small world.

thank you for your post and for reminding me that I should not rejoice in his death. I know that the road is going to be even harder now since he is gone, someone will fall right into his place.

I completely agree! We cannot let our guard down just because he is no longer breathing — it's taken us almost ten years to get this job done and I'm sure in those ten years, he has been training others, well.

So glad I'm not the only one.

The scenes on the news with Americans cheering in the streets reminded me of something horrible in our history. Bosnia! Remember when our Blackhawks were shot down? And they drug our men in the streets and gloated? Chilling similarities? Scarey!
